The vibrant campus of Don Bosco CBSE School Gunadala came alive with excitement and joy as it celebrated its 6th Annual Day on 23rd November 2024. It was a momentous occasion marked by enthusiasm, excellence and community spirit. The event, a perfect blend of cultural extravaganza and academic pride, reflected the school’s commitment to a holistic development and its value-based education.

          Catholic Priests, religious, teachers, parents and students gathered to witness a day of festivities, achievements and inspiration.

* A Grand Welcome and Lamp Lighting Ceremony.

          The celebration began with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, including dignitaries, educational leaders, parents and well-wishers of the school. The Rector & Principal Rev. Fr. Bhaskar Pasala extended heartfelt greetings, emphasizing the significance of the Annual Day in show-casing the school’s accomplishments and fostering community spirit.

To mark the auspicious beginning, the esteemed and honoured chief guest, most Rev. Dr. Joseph Raja Rao SMM, Bishop of Vijayawada, Guest of honour, Rev. Fr. Santiagu Thomas SDB, the Provincial, Rev. Fr. Bhaskar Pasala the Rector & Principal, Rev. Fr. James, the Administrator were introduced and welcomed on to the stage by our teachers with grace and poise reflecting the school’s culture of respect and hospitality to light the ceremonial lamp. This act symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the spread of knowledge and enlightment, was accompanied by a soulful prayer song. The gentle glow of the lamp illuminated the stage, setting the perfect tone, for the event.

* Inauguration of the Theme: Respect

          This year, the Annual Day celebration was centered around the profound theme of Respect. The theme highlighted the importance of fostering mutual respect in our lives, respecting the diversity, and naturing respect for oneself, others and the environment.

To formally inaugurate the theme, the distinguished guests were invited to unveil a symbolic representation of Respect a beautifully designed artwork prepared by student-leaders and released vibrant bunches of balloons into the sky, symbolizing hope and unity while a captivating audiovisual presentation played in the back ground. All these put together added to the moment’s grandeur as the event beautifully embodied the spirit of reverence and admiration.

* Message by Our Honoured Guest

          Our chief guest Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Raja Rao, Bishop of Vijayawada, addressed the gathering emphasizing how Respect forms the foundation of a peaceful and progressive society. His inspiring words encouraged the students to embody this value in their daily lives, making it a guiding principle as they grow into responsible global citizens. He also emphasized the significance of holistic education and the role of schools in shaping future leaders.

* Cultural Programme

          The program featured a variety of meticulously planned cultural performances, including captivating and graceful dances, harmonious musical rendition, a thought provoking skit which high-lighted the students’ creativity, discipline and talent. The dance on the Five Elements of Nature, was a breath-taking performance, beautifully choreographed to symbolize earth, water, fire, air, and space. The seamless co-ordination, expressive movements, and vibrant costumes vividly brought each element to life leaving the audience mesmerized and deeply connected to the harmony with nature.

* Rev. Father James celebrating 25 years of Priesthood.

          As Rev. Father James marked the remarkable milestone of 25 years of devoted priesthood, he was warmly invited to the stage for a heartfelt felicitation by our esteemed Provincial, Rev. Fr. Santiagu Thomas. Father Thomas shared inspiring words, highlighting Father James’ unwavering faith, compassionate service and tireless dedication to the Church and community. He praised him as a beacon of humility and spiritual guidance, leaving everyone deeply moved and inspired.

* The Annual Report

          The Annual Report presented so eloquently by our Principal, Fr. Bhaskar, gave us a comprehensive view of the school’s achievements, initiatives, and progress. Through the thoughtfully curated audio-visual presentation, he brought to life the vibrant activities, academic excellence, and cultural brilliance of our students and staff over the past one year, & outlined its vision for the future.

          The videos and visuals not only showcased the hard work and dedication of the school community, but also reminded everyone of the cherished memories created together.
