Don Bosco School, Gunadala, 3-12 June 2020: Since Covid-19 Pandemic, Don Bosco School under the leadership of Fr Garlapati Michael Kishroe, the Correspondent and Fr Pasala Bhaskar, the Principal have explored various possibilities of training the teachers from the University of Mumbai, publishers like Rathna Sagar, MacMilan, Adyayan etc. 25 teachers of the School have joined in the training sessions
Zoom an online conference app, who have learned from the digital courses sharing their experiences both inside and outside the classroom with other teachers and children.
They were trained by the IQAC and FDP Committee of Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College, Thane in association with Department of Information Technology (UDIT), University of Mumbai, YCM Open University and Microsoft has organised this National Level, Five Day Faculty Development Programme titled “Evolution from Offline to Online Teaching.” The teachers were indeed happy to learn via ‘undo to redo’ process. This method has helped them to understand new methodologies in teaching online classes.
This FDP Committee is for Academicians of all streams who desires to learn online teaching and its related tools. Below are the day wise themes that were dealt:
Day 1: Creation of Animated PPT Video and Copyright Free Materials
Day 2: Effective use of Google Class Room
Day 3: Online Education- Expanding the reach of classroom learning and Virtual Classroom
Day 4: Youtube video and Blended Classroom and New Education Policy chapter 19- E learning
Day 5: Hands-on training with Microsoft Teams
Accordingly, the teachers were awarded with a Participation Certificate from the University of Mumbai.
