A workshop on “Educator in the Midst of Conflicts” was conducted for the teaching staff of Don Bosco School on 5th June 2026 by Rev. Fr. Mariyadas. The session began with the introduction of the resource person by our Principal, Rev. Fr. Bhaskar, followed by an interactive introductory activity led by Rev. Fr. Rajesh.
Fr. Mariyadas encouraged the teachers to reflect on their strengths and emphasized that the only person we can truly control is ourselves. He explained that managing inner conflicts helps us deal more effectively with conflicts around us. He also highlighted that a calm and controlled mind can handle situations better than material possessions or external advantages.

The resource person explained the meaning of an educator and the nature of conflicts. He discussed different patterns of thinking and stressed the importance of making the unconscious conscious through self-awareness and self-examination. Teachers were encouraged to reflect on their behaviour and understand the reasons behind their actions. He pointed out that behaviours are learned and, therefore, can also be unlearned and replaced with positive habits.
The session further focused on developing a positive attitude towards life, family, and success. Fr. Mariyadas also explained the concept of synergy and the importance of collaboration, mutual understanding, and teamwork in creating a healthy educational environment.
The workshop was insightful and enriching, inspiring the teachers to cultivate self-awareness, emotional balance, and positive relationships in order to become more effective educators and role models for their students.
