An orientation programme on the Pinnacle App was conducted for the teaching staff of classes 1 to 5 of Don Bosco School on 8th June 2026 by Mrs. Vasavi. The session began with an engaging activity in which three groups of teachers were challenged to create the longest newspaper chain within seven minutes. The activity highlighted the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication in achieving common goals.
Mrs. Vasavi introduced the REPC Framework for goal setting and professional growth. The framework consists of Reflect – thinking about what worked well and what did not, Envision – setting goals for the coming year, Plan – identifying specific actions to achieve those goals, and Checkpoints – determining ways to monitor and track progress.
The resource person emphasized four key areas of focus, particularly student engagement, progress, and achievements, along with the continuous development of teachers’ instructional skills. She explained the “I Do, We Do, You Do” model, which gradually transfers responsibility from the teacher to the learner, promoting independent learning.
The session also provided practical teaching strategies such as chunking content, checking for understanding, and using appropriate resources to enhance classroom learning. Teachers were introduced to the PTMR Model – Prepare, Teach, Monitor, and Remediate – as an effective framework for lesson planning and classroom instruction. The GRR (Gradual Release of Responsibility) model was also explained through the use of Learning Indicators (LI) and Learning Outcomes (LO).
The programme concluded with demonstration lessons, which were assessed using the RRR Method. Teachers were guided on how to prepare effective demonstrations using the PTMR framework. The session ended with a feedback session, allowing participants to reflect on their learning and share their insights.
The programme was informative and interactive, equipping teachers with practical strategies and tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.
